Carl L Oyler

Carl L. Oyler, 57, of St. Augustine, IL, passed away at 2:41 p.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2023 in his home. He was born February 11, 1966 the son of Clarence and Christine (Downard) Oyler. He was raised and educated in Avon, graduating from Avon High school in 1984.

He married Victoria Stick on September 1, 1989 and she survives.

Those left to cherish his memory are; his wife Vicky; his parents, Clarence and Christine of St. Augustine; children, Jeremy (Stacey) Welsh of Bushnell, IL, Bryan (Betsy) Kreps of Bushnell, IL, Jessica Kreps of London Mills and Erik Oyler of St. Augustine; grandchildren, Brandon, Sean, Deven, Julie Ann, Kent, Bradyn, Bailee, Branson, Bradley and Brenna; sister, Laura (Jeff) Holman of Cayuga, IN; brother, Michael Oyler of Victoria, IL; nephews, Grant, Jonathan and Lance; his beloved dog Chevy.

He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Carl was a truck driver for Wynne farms for the past 15 years. He enjoyed camping, fishing and cutting wood. His greatest love was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a volunteer firefighter for the St. Augustine Fire Department for many years. He attended the Bushnell Christian Church.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday, February 28, 2023 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.
